One of the best things about Las Vegas is all the amazing food, especially if you are a self proclaimed foodie (like us)! As amazing as Vegas is, things can get pricey pretty quickly when you are there. It’s all part of the allure, everything is bigger, better and with that more expensive. Not to mention tourism naturally increases prices.
If you are a foodie and you are heading to Vegas sometime soon we do not want you to be stuck paying for an overly expensive meal that is just not worth it! We took the liberty of trying a few restaurants on our last trip that we believe would be a great addition to your itinerary.
First stop, LAGO by Julian Serrano located waterfront at the Bellagio. We decided to try LAGO for brunch, we made a reservation online, which was easy and we definitely recommend it. With waterfront views and amazing food it is clear that getting a table without a reservation could prove to be difficult, even more so if you want to be seated near the fountain.

The ambiance felt light and airy, especially when seated near the windows facing the fountain. The views were amazing, looking over the fountain with the Eiffel Tower from the Paris Hotel in the background – perfection! A note for brunch- depending on how early you decide to dine you might miss the fountain show so be sure to check the show times before making your reservation.
Now let’s get to the good stuff, the food! For refreshments we started with a refreshing mocktail, a virgin mojito. It was fresh and delicious! We started our meal with the croissant as an appetizer, it was light and flaky with sooo many layers. An absolutely stunning croissant!
For the main course we just had to try the LAGO Rigatoni. Pasta for breakfast is always a good idea, so when we saw it on the menu we just knew that we had to have it. Especially with the homemade rigatoni, yes please! It was amazing – highly recommended. We also shared the Classic Breakfast, which came with so much food. All of which was totally delicious, an elevated take on traditional breakfast items.

Then for our final course they surprised us with a cute birthday treat, a small slice of classic cheesecake. Usually we are not a huge fan of cheesecake but we ate every last bit of it. If you are going to be dining for a celebration be sure to mention it in your online reservation!

Lastly, the service we experienced at LAGO was exceptional. Our server was kind and attentive. The food came out quickly and our water cups were never empty.
We would absolutely go back for another dining experience, however next time in the evening so we could experience the glow of the fountain show as we dine.
Next stop, Vanderpump Paris! We are definitely guilty of being fans of the Bravo show: Vanderpump Rules – which is why we knew we had to check out one of the Vanderpump restaurants in Vegas. At the very least we knew we had to try those goat cheese balls! IYKYK.
We made a reservation using the Open Table app, which we of course recommend. This app is also great for making reservations at a lot of restaurants in Vegas, it’s the perfect tool to have for all our fellow foodies.
The inside and decor of the restaurant gives off a very sexy vibe. It feels dark, mysterious and dare we say even a little naughty. At first glance the menu can be a bit overwhelming, you partially have to decode what each menu item is to get an understanding of what you would be ordering.
The drinks are extravagant and very tasty. If you aren’t planning on dining it would still be a really great place to grab a fancy cocktail before heading out for the evening. We tried a few different drinks but one of the standouts was definitely the “It’s My F*cking Birthday” cocktail – served in a crown and topped with a macaroon, it embodies Vegas birthday energy!

For food we decided to split a few different menu items, we wanted to try as many items as possible so sharing was the way to go. Of course we had to have the Goat Cheese Cakes, but we also tried Caviar Bites, Gruyère Frites, and Le Mac Et Fromage.
- Goat Cheese Cakes – are an absolute must! If we could have these every week, we would!
- Caviar Bites – the caviar sits on top of a flaky layered potato. The potato is delicious (they offer this as a side on its own) but caviar is definitely an acquired taste. If you never had it before, you might as well give it a try!
- Gruyère Frites – basically glorified cheese fries – can’t go wrong with that. We definitely enjoyed these.
- Le Mac art Fromage – if French onion soup and mac and cheese had a baby, this would be it. It has a very strong onion flavor so if you don’t like onions, steer clear!

Our reservation was later in the evening, so they were a little busy. We were not too impressed with the service but because they were so busy we were understanding, it wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t great.
And that will conclude our Vegas foodie review! Both of these restaurants have very different vibes and menus but overall we would recommend adding both to your itinerary the next time you are planning a trip to Vegas.
