If there is something we are passionate about it is definitely activewear! There is honestly nothing better than throwing on a cute pair of leggings and heading out to conquer your day. They provide not only style, but also comfort and functionality.
Recently flare leggings have been making a comeback and we could not be happier. Yes, we grew up in millennial times, so you know part of the uniform of our youth were the fold over Victoria’s Secret/PINK leggings. IYKYK. We have since moved on and have now ventured off into a crazy time where so many companies are taking a stab at creating their version of a flare legging.
While we do think this is so amazing we also know that it makes it incredibly difficult to narrow down the right flare leggings for you. To help you on this important journey we have compiled a list of our favorites, each of them unique from the other and across various price ranges.
The first pair of flare leggings we tried was the OFFLINE High Waisted Crossover Flare Legging. We love this brand and knew that they would have a good product, it had great reviews and we also managed to snag them when they were on sale, BONUS! We love how comfortable and stretchy they are, and the crossover detail on the waistband makes your waist look snatched. However the one detail to keep in mind is that fabric does feel a little thin, this was the one thing we weren’t expecting when we ordered these. Overall we would rate these a 3.9 out of 5.
The next pair we tried was from Amazon, good ol’ trusty Amazon, always coming in with the product dupes. This pair of flare leggings is practically an exact dupe of the first pair of leggings. They are both high waisted, crossover leggings and the feel of the fabric is identical. Now the bonus with this pair is that they are always priced lower and the shipping is of course crazy fast. They also come in so many different colors. With these slight advantages we rate these leggings a 4 out of 5.
By now you have probably heard of Fabletics. We have been a long time customer at Fabletics and when we saw that they were also jumping on the flare legging trend we were definitely excited!
We decided to try the PureLuxe High-Waisted Crossover Flare and we were not disappointed. Once again we went for the crossover waistband, we are clearly a fan of that. And…they have pockets!!! The fabric on these leggings is much thicker than the pairs above, which also made it feel more compressive so if that’s your vibe you will love these. Moving onto the price, these are a little less wallet friendly, especially if you are not a VIP member. That being said, they do offer really great sales that you can take advantage of. If you are an activewear addict like us, being a VIP member might be the move. We rate these a 4.5 out of 5.
We have a special place in our heart for this next pair of leggings. We found this company during the dreaded year of 2020 and they easily became our favorite activewear brand at that time. This was the first pair of flare leggings we purchased when the trend began to reappear.
The exact leggings we purchased do not seem to be available on the site anymore, but these Cloud II Trousers are similar. We absolutely love the fabric, it is soft and buttery smooth. It is thicker fabric than the first two pairs we reviewed above. Then, compared to the Fabletics pair, these are much softer and not as compressive. Plus the booty contouring seam really makes the booty pop. They are a little pricier than the options above but still a really great option, especially if you can grab them on sale. We rate these a 4.7 out of 5.
This last pair of leggings we have not actually tried out ourselves, but they are on our list so we wanted to share them as a possible contender. We have heard people raving about the Lululemon Align fabric and they have now created flare leggings in this fabric. The price range is definitely higher than the leggings we usually purchase, which is probably why we haven’t taken the leap. However, we are looking forward to giving these a try someday and will definitely report back.
