Hey mamas,
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re somewhere in that beautiful, messy, and totally transformative postpartum phase. With summer fast approaching you might be wondering how on earth you’re supposed to feel confident in a swimsuit again.
Let me start by saying this: postpartum bodies are AMAZING exactly as they are. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy to shop for swimwear when your body feels unfamiliar.
So I did a little online shopping (OK, maybe a lot) and put together a postpartum swim haul with comfort, coverage, and confidence at the top of my list. Here’s what I am loving.
What I Looked For:
Before diving into my picks, here were my must-haves:
- Supportive tops (especially for nursing and changing bust sizes)
- Tummy coverage (the tummy needs to feel supported)
- Comfortable fit (no digging, rolling, or wedgies allowed)
- Style points (we’re still allowed to feel cute!)
My Picks
1. Plunging Tummy Control One-Piece
- Why I love it: Super flattering ruching, tummy control, and a v-neck that’s nursing-friendly. The coverage is great without feeling matronly.
- Fit tip: Size up if you’re in between sizes—postpartum bodies shift a lot.
2. Black Floral Jacquard Scalloped Bralette & High Waist Bikini Set
- Why I love it: The floral design is both subtle and unique. It’s super sleek and holds you in without feeling tight.
- Cons: Depending on how snug you tie the top it might be challenging to nurse.
3. Black Ribbed Texture One-Piece Swimsuit
- Why I love it: Black is classic and versatile. The thick straps help hold up the girls!
- Postpartum bonus: Can easily be paired with a variety of cute cover ups.
4. Wrap Bralette & Spliced High Waist Bikini Set
- Why I love it: Another nursing-friendly v-neck and it comes in multiple colors, SOLD!
- Cons: This suit does not have the tummy control fabric, but with the high waist it is still a great option for new moms!
- Why I love it: It’s a fiery color, with easy nursing access.
- Postpartum bonus: This style provides a little more tummy coverage as a two piece.
6. Lovely Lace Tummy Control One-Piece Swimsuit
- Why I love it: Tummy control and a little lace…sexy!
- Cons: Depending on breast size, underwire might not be comfortable and it could make nursing more difficult.
7. Leopard Print Tummy Control One Piece Swimsuit
- Why I love it: Leopard print will always be one of my fav prints, and the thick straps are perfect for larger breasts.
- Cons: Nursing will not be as easy as other options available.
- Why I love it: An Italian-inspired suit with a unique neutral pattern- all the style points!
- Cons: It might be a little risqué for any newly postpartum mamas depending on their comfort level.

💡 A Few Tips from the Fitting Room
- Try on at home. The lighting is kinder and you can pair it with a robe, nursing pads, or whatever real life looks like right now.
- Buy multiple sizes. Your body is in transition—don’t judge it by a number on a tag.
- Focus on how it feels. Confidence isn’t about hiding your body. It’s about how you move and feel in your suit.
Final Thoughts
Shopping for swimwear postpartum can feel overwhelming. You deserve to feel comfortable and confident whether you’re chasing a toddler across the sand or enjoying a quiet moment soaking up the sun.
To all the mamas out there navigating body changes this summer—you’ve got this. Wear the swimsuit. Get in the water. Take the photo. You’re going to cherish these moments with your family forever.
If you’ve got a postpartum-friendly swimsuit you love, drop it in the comments—I’m always up for another haul 😉
